THE STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT
‘Rafiq ni Sujani’ aims at expanding the boundaries of what Sujani quilts are traditionally known for by introducing newer colours, patterns, sizes and placements in order to excite Rafiq Bhai to work on something new, and yet respect his knowledge and traditional working style.
Four Shades - This Sujani was created in order to break the traditional checkered pattern of Sujani quilts and explore the possibility of creating district color blocks and stripes. Hence, we decided to explore a flowing gradation of different shades of blue with Rafiq Bhai. Further expanding on the concept of blocks and stripes, we created multiple appliqué rectangles in kora and red to complement the Sujani and give it a new life.
