THE STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT
Manchaha is a one-of-a-kind initiative in which weavers in rural India are given the freedom to create their own rugs, turning each piece into a form of personal expression. In this Manchaha called Zindagi (Life), Laxmi Devi, a weaver from Kishanpura, carries her village. This rug is a woven map of her world, carrying her memories, dreams, and lived experiences. You will see at the bottom of the rug stands a large tree outside her home, a familiar witness to her days. Her Manchaha designs come from within, shaped by the land she lives on and the confidence she carries in herself, and it is this honesty that has quietly carried her work far beyond her village, earning national recognition and invitations to share her craft on some of India’s most respected design platforms.
