Hmong Hemp Cushion WAS SKILLFULLY HANDMADE BY Naenna Studios IN THAILAND.
THE STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT
This cushion began its journey in the mountains of northern Thailand, where Hmong women continue a textile tradition passed from mother to daughter over generations. Handwoven hemp becomes the canvas for intricate cross-stitch embroidery, with every motif stitched patiently by hand and carrying the memory of a living culture.
Created within the artisans' own communities, each piece supports women's livelihoods while preserving skills that have shaped Hmong identity for centuries. No two are ever the same. Every cushion carries the story of the hands that made it, inviting us to value not only what we bring into our homes, but also the people and traditions behind it.
HOW IT WAS MADE
STEP 1 - HARVESTING THE HEMP
STEP 2 - SPINNING
STEP 3 - WEAVING
