THE STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT
Our Re-rewoven Jacket embodies the essence of Paiwand- circularity in its purest form. Crafted from reclaimed fragments of Paiwand’s own upcycled, handwoven textiles, it brings together the “waste of waste,” transforming what was once discarded into a unique expression of design, care, and renewal. Paiwand began as a response to the fabric waste created in the cutting process. Yet even as these remnants were transformed into new textiles, garment-making introduced waste once again- challenging our commitment to true circularity. From this tension emerged the Re-rewoven technique: a way of gathering and reworking these fragments into a textile woven not once, but twice.
