THE STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT
A time trapping of place, layered in texture. A footprint of an ancient fibre embedded in a small koppie East of the moon. She is bright, bold, and timelessly modern. She is ahead of her time and impossible to pin down. She is made up of layers of texture and time, and the detail is so stark that you forget to look at the subtilty of her posture and positioning.
A wire hanger from Louis Shoeman holds it in community. All the paint marks testing colour and the stitched- in- orange to make sure the yolk doesn’t run dry. She is baked earth. She is a tracking of time. She is really quite something.
